Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH) Test at Home in Srinagar
The most reliable single marker of ovarian reserve — how many eggs you have left.
What does the AMH Test measure?
Anti-Müllerian Hormone (AMH) is produced by small follicles in the ovaries. A blood AMH test measures ovarian reserve — essentially how many eggs remain. AMH is the most reliable single marker of ovarian reserve currently available and can be tested on any day of the menstrual cycle.
Why does it matter?
AMH declines with age, accelerating after 35. Low AMH may indicate reduced fertility potential and affects decisions about fertility preservation (egg freezing), IVF timing, and dosing protocols. Unlike FSH, AMH is stable throughout the cycle, making it a more convenient and reproducible test.
Who should get this test?
- Women planning to delay pregnancy and wanting to assess their fertility window
- Women over 30 beginning to plan a family
- Anyone with irregular periods or suspected PCOS (where AMH is often elevated)
- Women about to undergo IVF or fertility treatment
